Synopsis

Lethargy, weariness, and sense of near exhaustion following the use of certain medications. Commonly associated with antidepressants, anxiolytics, antihistamines, antihypertensive agents, alpha-receptor agonists, beta blockers, chemotherapy drugs, sedatives, hypnotics, narcotics, and other drugs.

Management involves balancing the patient's need for and tolerance of prescribed medication to treat a medical condition against the risk of adverse effects.
